Messagebird extends Series C round and acquires US-based SparkPost for $600 million

Off the back of another acquisition just a few weeks ago, Netherlands based MessageBird has announced an extension of its October Series C round of $800 million and used the funds to snap up email marketing platform SparkPost.

“By joining forces with MessageBird, we will be able to bring broader, deeper value to all of our customers through any digital communications channel,” adds SparkPost CEO Rich Harris. “Our companies are a great cultural fit, having both built teams that pride themselves on serving the enterprise and helping customers craft compelling, flexible solutions to challenging business problems.”

£5m in funding for Autonomous Flight

Autonomous Flight, a Kent, UK-based electrical vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) startup, has raised £5M as part of a £25M Series A funding round. Autonomous Flight is building a battery-powered flying aircraft to facilitate short-range transportation in urban areas.

Digital mortgage broker Baufi24 secures Series A funding

Baufi24 has raised €6,700,000 in a Series A round from btov Partners and Helvetia Venture Fund. Baufi24 is a digital mortgage brokerage for property buyers in Germany.

Swiss digital Bank Relio closes pre-seed financing round

Relio is the digital Swiss bank account for SMEs worldwide, built on proprietary compliance automation has raised of CHF 700,000 in a pre-seed financing round. The company plans to use the funds from the investment round to expand its technical infrastructure to time with its planned market launch and licensing.

Brussels-based Qover raises $25 million

The insurtech platform has raised $25 million in a Series B round led by Prime Ventures. Qover provides insurance solutions that assist fast-growing companies on a global scale. They provide their own real-time API and white label solutions.

CEO Quentin Colmant said, “digital-native players are increasingly looking to Qover to help them accelerate their growth and this is just the beginning. Our mission is to connect all the platforms to our fully embedded insurance solution. This new fund will boost our ability to respond to the needs of an exploding market and continue to innovate in providing seamless digital experiences,”
